The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that lets AI assistants like ChatGPT connect to external tools. Booked55 ships with a production MCP server at mcp.booked55.com that exposes 14 CRM tools — for contacts, companies, pipelines, tasks, and events.

Once connected, you can manage your entire CRM from a ChatGPT conversation. No browser tabs, no manual data entry — just natural language.

Step 1: Enable Developer Mode in ChatGPT

Open chatgpt.com and sign in.
Click your profile icon in the bottom-left corner.
Select Settings.
Navigate to Apps (previously "Apps & Connectors").
Scroll down and click Advanced settings.
Toggle Developer mode to ON.

For Business/Enterprise plans: Your workspace admin needs to enable Developer Mode first. Business admins do this from Workspace Settings → Permissions & Roles. Enterprise admins use Settings → Apps → Advanced Settings or RBAC.

Step 2: Create the Booked55 App

Go back to Settings → Apps and click Create.
Fill in the details:
- App name: Booked55 CRM
- Description: Manage contacts, companies, pipelines, tasks, and events in Booked55.
- App URL / MCP endpoint: https://mcp.booked55.com
For Authentication, select OAuth.
Click Create.

Step 3: Authorise with Booked55

ChatGPT will redirect you to the Booked55 login page.
Sign in with your Booked55 email and password. If you don't have an account, create one for free.
Review the requested permissions (read/write access to contacts, companies, tasks, events, and pipelines).
Click Authorise.
You'll be redirected back to ChatGPT. The app is now connected.

Step 4: Enable the App in a conversation

Open a new ChatGPT conversation.
Click the + button near the message composer.
Click More to see available apps.
Find Booked55 CRM and toggle it ON.

You can also type @Booked55 CRM in your prompt to invoke the app directly.

Step 5: Start using it

That's it — you're connected. Here are some things you can try right away:

Add a contact

"Add a new contact: Sarah Chen, [email protected], VP of Engineering at Acme Corp."

Search your CRM

"Find all contacts whose name contains ‘Smith’."

Create a company

"Create a company called TechStart Inc. based in Toronto."

Manage tasks

"Create a high-priority task for Sarah Chen: Send proposal by Friday."

Work with pipelines

"Show me all deals in my sales pipeline."

Update a deal

"Move the Acme Corp deal to the Negotiation stage."

Log events

"Create an event called SaaS Connect Toronto on March 15, 2026."

Write actions need your approval. Whenever ChatGPT creates or updates data, it shows you the tool call payload first. You must click Confirm before the action runs. This is a safety feature built into ChatGPT.

Troubleshooting

The app doesn't appear in my list

Make sure Developer Mode is enabled (Step 1). On Business/Enterprise plans, your workspace admin needs to enable it first.

Authorisation fails

Double-check you are signing in with the same email used for your Booked55 account. If you're new, create an account first at dashboard.booked55.com.

Tools aren't responding

Verify the MCP endpoint is set to exactly https://mcp.booked55.com with no trailing slash. If issues persist, disconnect the app in Settings → Apps and reconnect it.
